Using Your Cell Phone While Driving...

When I was checking my email today, I came across an email that said, "Calling All Mothers," "Keep Your Family Safe." The email was wanting mommy opinions on banning cell phone use while driving... I would definitely have to say that it's not the easiest thing to do while driving. It really got me thinking in the aspects of my children; my children's safety is number one in my life, and trying to answer, dial, or text while driving with or without my children in the car; I would have to agree that it is unsafe. To be quite honest with all of you; I never considered my cell phone to be a distraction at the end of the day. So does that make me a horrible mother? No I don't think so. It just makes me now more aware, that I need to rethink what I thought wasn't a big deal, now is and always has been a Big Deal. The way that this email was presented to me, has really made me aware... I'm going to from here on out, only answer my phone when I am parked in a parking lot same with trying to dial out. I never want to put my family's life or others in danger. By making a bad judgement call...

Ladies I would love to hear what you think about this matter. Do you agree or disagree??? Please share your thoughts :-)

The Tooth Fairy Came Last Night...

Our oldest son's bottom tooth has been loose for quite some time. The other night he came to us and said, "Ok Daddy I'm ready for you to pull it now," and opened his month as big as he could. My hubby didn't even have to touch the tooth to see if it was ready to be pulled or not; you could just see that it was holding on by a thread (by a little bite of skin)... My hubby wrapped some string around it, and with in a blink of an eye the tooth was out. Our son started screaming, "The Tooth Fairy Is Coming Tonight," over, and over again (he was so excited). He gave daddy a big huge and said, "thanks daddy it didn't hurt," "how much money do you think the tooth fairy will give me?" We just started laughing; we couldn't believe that a 6 year old would be wondering about the profit that he would be receiving from the tooth fairy (what a character). The Tooth Fairy came later that night when he was fast asleep. Because the next morning our son came running into our room yelling at the top of his lungs, "The Tooth Fairy came," "The Tooth Fairy came," "she gave me a whole dollar." That child was acting like he won the lotto... But all in all, just to see him so happy was a good day :-)
